Here he goes!

I love the new Quite Contrary papers from My Mind's Eye and since I only have boys I really like the Little Boy blue line. I had a set of pictures from my youngest son that was just the right thing to use on this layout. I am really proud of the way it turned out!

At last!

Ok, so I had promised to post the finished Family album I made in Amber's class but the weather has been so bad that I haven't had good light to do it. We had some sun today, so, as promised, here it is!

Valentine's day

I was never really much a valentine's day girl but since we have a shop we need to get in the spirit. We had a workshop yesterday and we made these little frames. I think they look really lovelly!

My latest works

I have recently realized that although I have been sharing my thoughts and travellings a lot I haven't posted any of my works. Mainly because whenever I do something it is generally for our shop or our business so I end up posting those works somewhere else.
I am giving a scrapobook workshop every wednesday so every week Ihave to  prepare new pages for the class to see. So here are some of my latest pages!

This is my lovely niece Benedita. I love this collection from My Mind's Eye. I have saved some more pages to make another layout.

I used my new copic Markers to paint inside the stamped bycicle. I love the pens and they are really good and fun to use. They make me want to stamp more so I can have a chance to use them again!

I have to thank amber for this page. I used the same color scheme from the Lush collection that we used at her workshop and one of the flowers is actually one I made with her at the show. I love the prettiness of this work and am really happy with the whole look of the page! Now I just have to finish the album I started with her!

My visit to Salt Lake City

After my trip to California I went to Salt Lake City. The main purpose of my visit was to see how scrapbook stores are organized, how they work and so on.
I also was very lucky to meet Tiffani, another My Mind's Eye designer. She is very talented, although she says she only makes stuff! We had a very nice day browsing throw the stores around Salt Lake City and we got the chance to know each other better! We even went out for dinner when my class at one of the stores was cancelled!
She gave me one of her designs that I love and I promise to post it here soon!
In case you are wondering if I really went, here are some of the photos I took of those gorgeous mountains!

Meet Amber!

I am now in LA! Well Anaheim really. I came dor for the trade show, CHA and I saw a lot of new things, new projects, old friends but mostly I have made a new friend!
Meet Amber! She is a very talented designer, mother of two boys and a wonderful person. I feel really grateful to have met her. I loved her workshop and all the time we spent talking at the show. You can see the two of us on this picture just outside the My Minds Eye booth!
Thank you Amber!

If

Today was a very bad day. Not because bad things happened really, just because. Because I found out that a friend isn't exactly a friend, because I discovered that I open my heart too much, because I was forced to see that I trust unworthy people, because.
But inspite all that, I found out that I do have great friends (Rosália you are one and only!), because a special lady baked a special cake for me and because when I got home all sad and felling quite bad I had my husbands shoulder to cry on!
On my way home I kept thinking about a poem. This poem has been hanging in my parents bathroom since I can remember. Everytime I went there, ever since I was little, there it was looking at me. As I grow up I started knowing it by heart. Then I started understanding the magnificence of it's words. If only I could be so great! To all of those that never heard about Rudyard Kipling, here is a copy of my favorite poem!

If

If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you;
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or, being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or, being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise;

If you can dream - and not make dreams your master;
If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with triumph and disaster
And treat those two imposters just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to broken,
And stoop and build 'em up with wornout tools;

If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breath a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: "Hold on";
If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with kings - nor lose the common touch;

If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you;
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run -
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man my son!

To begin the year.....

Well, the year begun with a great fuss for me! I was invited to go back to the TV show and they asked for a project about agenda's! So I decided to make something that everyone else could do: just get a cover and a back cover, print from outlook por similar the calendar in the style you wish and then just use a Bind it all to finish. Of course that if you add embelishments, tags and so on the end result is much prettier! And that way you can also make sure that work is indeed Happy!!!!
