Meet Amber!

I am now in LA! Well Anaheim really. I came dor for the trade show, CHA and I saw a lot of new things, new projects, old friends but mostly I have made a new friend!
Meet Amber! She is a very talented designer, mother of two boys and a wonderful person. I feel really grateful to have met her. I loved her workshop and all the time we spent talking at the show. You can see the two of us on this picture just outside the My Minds Eye booth!
Thank you Amber!

If

Today was a very bad day. Not because bad things happened really, just because. Because I found out that a friend isn't exactly a friend, because I discovered that I open my heart too much, because I was forced to see that I trust unworthy people, because.
But inspite all that, I found out that I do have great friends (Rosália you are one and only!), because a special lady baked a special cake for me and because when I got home all sad and felling quite bad I had my husbands shoulder to cry on!
On my way home I kept thinking about a poem. This poem has been hanging in my parents bathroom since I can remember. Everytime I went there, ever since I was little, there it was looking at me. As I grow up I started knowing it by heart. Then I started understanding the magnificence of it's words. If only I could be so great! To all of those that never heard about Rudyard Kipling, here is a copy of my favorite poem!

If

If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you;
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or, being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or, being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise;

If you can dream - and not make dreams your master;
If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with triumph and disaster
And treat those two imposters just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to broken,
And stoop and build 'em up with wornout tools;

If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breath a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: "Hold on";
If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with kings - nor lose the common touch;

If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you;
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run -
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man my son!

To begin the year.....

Well, the year begun with a great fuss for me! I was invited to go back to the TV show and they asked for a project about agenda's! So I decided to make something that everyone else could do: just get a cover and a back cover, print from outlook por similar the calendar in the style you wish and then just use a Bind it all to finish. Of course that if you add embelishments, tags and so on the end result is much prettier! And that way you can also make sure that work is indeed Happy!!!!
